“So, what have you worked on?”

I thought you’d never ask!

From integrated campaigns and content marketing to email journeys and direct fund appeals (and so much more!)…here’s a few of the types of projects I’ve had my hands on.

Tearfund NZ

Tearfund is a New Zealand-based, non-profit organization providing aid and development programming to communities across Africa, Asia, South America, and the Pacific. It is part of the global network of organizations under the Tearfund brand.

I was initially brought onboard to write the copy for the entirety of their Joy To The World! Christmas campaign—one of their largest fundraising campaigns during the calendar year. For this integrated campaign, I was tasked to write their direct-mail fund appeals, landing page, radio ads, digital resources, and the complete email journey.

Since then, I continue to provide weekly support to the Creative & Campaigns teams, helping to develop engaging collateral for integrated fundraising campaigns like Growing Up Together, The Big Quiz Night, The One Campaign, Together We Rise, Mums & Bubs: The first critical year, their annual gift catalog Gift For Life, and many more.

I also create digital assets including email campaigns, content marketing pieces and signature stories, resources like the Global Minds, Generous Hearts Family Activity Pack, and develop media stories for outlets like Good Magazine and The Natural Parent Magazine to help make Tearfund NZ known among their desired audiences.

UNICEF

UNICEF works in over 190 countries and territories to save children's lives, to defend their rights, and to help them fulfill their potential, from early childhood through adolescence.

I provide regular copywriting support and consulting services to their global marketing team in Geneva, Switzerland to help develop and deliver marketing assets for their offices worldwide.

I help the team bring their ideas to life for social media ads—videos ads, banner ads, static ads—for various emergencies like COVID-19 in India, the earthquake in Haiti, and the conflict in Afghanistan.

I also help produce donor-facing assets like their annual pocket agenda and multinational legacy giving campaign. Most recently, I helped define the key messaging and develop the core assets for their end-of-year fundraising campaign.

Baptist World Aid Australia

Baptist World Aid is an Australian, faith-based non-profit organization who partners with individuals and communities in Australia to help lift people out of poverty in 20 countries across the world.

Looking to freshen up the tone, voice, and feel of their marketing materials, I was first brought onboard to create a proposition for a new direct marketing fund appeal that better reflected their desired brand.

Since then, I have helped develop the email journeys for the Matching Grant Campaign—their largest fundraising campaign of the financial year—and the annual gift catalogue campaign Big Hearted Gifts.

Medair

Medair is a Swiss-based, non-governmental organization who specializes in bringing life-saving emergency relief in times of crisis and disaster. They have been on the frontlines of some of the biggest emergencies for more than 30 years.

As a former member of their Global Communications & Engagement team for six years and a freelance copywriting specialist and consultant to the organization for three years, I’ve contributed to a wide variety of projects and played a significant role in evolving the voice and style of the Medair brand over the years.

I’ve helped conceive fundraising campaigns like their Every Second Counts and Each Life Is Worth The Extra Mile, as well as the more recent Global Hunger Crisis campaign.

I regularly created email campaigns, social media content, blogs, signature stories, targeted media pieces, print collateral, Facebook and Google ads, and helped refresh the organization’s website copy during their rebrand.

Swiss Education Group

Swiss Education Group (SEG) is the largest private educator in Switzerland. The group operates four of the world’s top hospitality schools—their culinary school is ranked best in Europe—attracting students from all over the world.

I contributed to the rebranding of their core assets by writing fresh copy for their schools’ brochures. I also regularly create email journeys to attract and engage students and write thematic articles for all five of their websites like these: Student Voices: My experience with virtual learning, How to write a standout CV, and A Spotlight On: Digital Marketing.

IMD Business School

IMD Business School is a globally top-ranked business school in Lausanne, Switzerland providing leadership training, Executive MBA, executive coaching and more.

As a regular freelance writer, I was tasked with writing and editing op-ed articles for their website and covering on-campus events.

Exodus Cry

Exodus Cry is a US-based, non-profit organization committed to abolishing sex trafficking and breaking the cycle of commercial sexual exploitation while assisting and empowering its victims.

I was tasked with crafting a series of articles for their blog series: “City in Focus”, which aimed to raise awareness about the tie between national and international sporting events and an increase in sexual exploitation.

YWAM Lausanne

Youth With A Mission (YWAM) is a faith-based, international organization who focuses on empowering and encouraging young people into short-term volunteer opportunities. Today, they are present in 180 countries. YWAM Lausanne is one of the largest operations in Switzerland.

I helped develop email campaigns, social media content, signature stories, and other resources, as well as fresh copy for their website redesign.
